Mortality among non-severely under nourished children with pneumonia globally: protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis

This study protocol outlines a systematic review and meta-analysis to examine mortality among non-severely undernourished children with pneumonia globally. The review aims to collate available evidence on all-cause mortality and anthropometric indices outcomes following pneumonia, as well as the impact of nutritional supplementation on mortality and anthropometry among non-severely malnourished children with pneumonia. The protocol follows PRISMA guidelines and will involve comprehensive database searches, risk of bias assessment, and both narrative and quantitative synthesis using random-effects models.
